Shelter Support for Returnees: Provision of Building Materials in Resettlement Communities in Africa.

The International Islamic Youth League Providing building materials as shelter support for returnees in resettlement communities is a crucial aspect of successful reintegration. This support helps returnees rebuild their homes, establish livelihoods, and integrate into their new environments. It’s essential to consider the local context, including available materials, construction techniques, and cultural preferences, while also addressing potential risks and vulnerabilities. Through our donor contribution we are currently providing educational and social support for 1200 orphans in Sierra Leone, Mali, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Central African Republic.

Water

The International Islamic Youth League project focuses on constructing 1200 water Wells in Africa, currently we have constructed 490 hand pump wells in war-affected communities like Sierra Leone, Mali, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Central African Republic to provide access to clean, safe drinking water, addressing a critical need for improved health and well-being. The initiatives were directly impact thousands of people by reducing waterborne diseases and freeing up time traditionally spent collecting water.

The International Islamic Youth League Rebuilding communities after displacement requires a holistic approach, particularly focusing on the construction of essential facilities like schools, sanitation, and water systems. This is crucial for the well-being and successful reintegration of returning families in Sierra Leone, Mali, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Central African Republic.

Providing safe and reliable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) facilities, along with adequate school infrastructure, is crucial for returning families in Africa. These facilities are essential for public health, education, and overall well-being, especially for children and women.

Agricultural
Enhancing Agricultural Resilience: Distribution of Inputs, Tools, and Food Support for Resettled Communities in Africa

The International Islamic Youth League main project focuses to enhance agricultural resilience among resettled communities, it’s crucial to provide targeted support with agricultural inputs, tools, and food assistance. This support should be tailored to the specific needs of the resettled population and should aim to build both short-term food security and long-term agricultural capacity. IIYL has so far provide distribution of inputs, tools, and food support for Resettled communities, enhancing agricultural resilience is a key component of achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2, which aims to end hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture”. Specifically, SDG 2.4 focuses on ensuring sustainable food production systems and implementing resilient agricultural practices. This involves adapting to climate change, extreme weather, and other disasters, while also improving land and soil quality our organization has provide support to over 200.000 peoples in Sierra Leone, Mali, Chad, Gambia, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon and Central African Republic

Humanitarian Aid and Relief Efforts for Refugees in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo: Food and Non-Food Distribution Initiative

The on-going conflict in Sudan has created the world’s largest child displacement crisis, with millions of children facing hardship, malnutrition, and a lack of access to basic services, including education and healthcare. Sudan is today the world’s largest child displacement crisis, with an estimated 5 million children who have fled their homes since April 2023, including nearly 1 million children across borders particularly to Chad, Uganda, and South Sudan. Children have endured almost two years of uncertainty, trauma and violence Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo experiencing a major humanitarian crisis, with millions of people, including children, displaced within the country and across borders.

This makes Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo the world’s largest child displacement crisis. International Islamic Youth League IIYL in collaboration with our partners has distributed over two thousand 1,000 metric tons food and non-food items to over 151,605 internally displaced persons in Sudan and refugees in Chad, Uganda, and South Sudan our aid convoys also distributed food aid to the Internally Displaced in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
