AMBASSADOR PROF DR. HAMID AHAMED KANNEH
Ambassador Prof Dr. Hamid Ahamed Kanneh is a community development and humanitarian professional with over 30 years of work experience with the national and international organizations such as the United Nations Office of the Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) UNICEF, WFP in Sierra Leone, Mali, Chad, Central African Republic, Cameroon, Guinea and Liberia and also with international organizations in the Middle East and Asia.
As Chairman of the United Nations Peace Council in the Northern Sierra Leone during the civil crisis, Dr. Hamid head Humanitarian Delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Islamic Development Bank Groups in Chad, Cameroon and Central African Republic Dr. Hamid also appointed as Presidential Envoy and Ambassador At Large covering Middle East and Asia since May 2018.
