The Prophet (SAW) was asked, what is Qurbani? The Prophet (SAW) answered: “It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (AS). For every hair of the Qurbani you receive a reward from Allah (SWT).”- Hadith- Tirmidhi

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, staff and volunteers of International Islamic Youth League IIYL, I would like to convey our heartfelt Eid Greetings to you. May Allah (SWT) shower His choicest blessings upon you, your family and friends.

For many of us fresh quality meat on Eid is the norm, but for the world’s poorest communities this is considered a very rare luxury. Reaching 16 Africa countries, our teams on the ground will ensure that your donation goes far by distributing locally sourced quality meat to our beneficiaries. Through our Qurbani programme we will ensure that those who are affected by conflicts, such as in Mali, Central African Republic, and Niger are enabled to participate and enjoy the happy occasion of Eid. Let us also remember those who are suffering from the devastating Disasters in Madagascar. International Islamic Youth League IIYL is actively working to provide emergency relief (shelter, clean water, food and medicines) to those affected. We are also planning to can-package substantial quantities of Qurbani meat, in order that these may be consumed over a longer period by those affected by the natural disasters and conflicts.
